ACRONYM & GORE-TEX Create a New Range of Jackets
Testing the limits of performance fabric technology.
GORE-TEX and ACRONYM recently linked up to test the limits of performance fabric technology. Two pioneers in garment innovation, GORE-TEX and ACRONYM built upon their explorations of functionality and style, creating two concept outerwear pieces utilizing the latest technology. Constructed of a new innovative laminate technology, the conceptual J63-PB Hooded Jacket and the J62-PB Trench Coat work in perfect unison with ACRONYM’s unique technical styling and GORE-TEX’s membrane outer. GORE-TEX Product Specialist Joachim Kuhnke notes, “This new product technology is referred to within Gore as “Lieblingsteil” (German for “favorite piece”). Being incredibly light, soft, quiet and cozy, creates a piece you want to wear every day and it enables new ways to design and manufacture high-quality garments. This market experiment will help us to further develop and improve our technology to meet and exceed customer expectations.” The J63-PB and J62-PB jackets will be sold in small quantities as market experiments at a select number of stores globally and on-line.
