Kanye West's 'The Life of Pablo' Becomes First Streaming-Only Album to Go Platinum
Yeezy just made history.
Following his contribution to Mary J’s most recent single, Kanye West has just made history with his TLOP project, which has become the first streaming-only album ever to go platinum. The project originally made history when it became the first streaming-only album to reach #1 on the U.S. album chart back in February of 2016, and since its release, TLOP has been streamed over 3 billion times globally. Not bad for an album that was originally a TIDAL exclusive before eventually becoming available to all streaming services last March.
