Leica MP "Blue Stain" Celebrates 10th Anniversary of Leica Store Berlin
So limited you can count them all on two hands.

After dropping off the Leica M10 earlier this year, Leica, specifically the Leica Store Berlin, will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a special limited edition Leica Monochrome “Blue Stain” manufactured by Leica MP. Limited to only 10 units, the MP “Blue Stain” is paired with a Leica Summilux-M 1: 1.4/50mm ASPH “Blue Stain” lens which is limited to 20 units. The duo are treated with blue lacquer instead of the normal lacquer and chrome plating — the “Blue Stain” gets its nickname as “an intermediate step in the production process and stretches as the carrier surface for a later painting where instead of a varnish it is sealed with blue stain two times.” Each of the cameras are also slightly different in its “pickling” and that makes them unique. Finishing off the camera is a housing cover made of soft grey cowhide and the black frame counter has red engravings. Each one also comes in a special edition box with neck strap.
The specific version also pays tribute to the city of Berlin by renouncing color in its design and engravings across the body and lens which is meant to “form an optical bridge to the constantly changing and further developing metropolis of Berlin.”
