Here's a Backstage Look at Raf Simons' 2017 Fall/Winter Show
With appearances from the A$AP Mob, Playboi Carti and more.

On Wednesday night, Raf Simons presented his highly-anticipated 2017 fall/winter collection at the Gagosian Gallery for New York Fashion Week: Men’s. This marked the New York Fashion Week debut for the fledgling, Calvin Klein creative director who showcased his namesake line in the Big Apple rather than Paris Fashion Week. In fact, this shuffling from Europe to the infamous concrete jungle was the entire gist of his collection.
With his recent series of looks, Simons wanted to tell the story of a young newcomer who enters the states for the first time. Simons manifested an eclectic array of garbs with several knitwear pieces scrawled with Milton Glaser’s “I LOVE NY” text. In addition, a plethora of Youth Project tees were embellished with service-industry graphics such as NYC’s ubiquitous, “Have a Nice Day” visual. Conclusively, however, one of the more eye-catching details definitely goes to the duct tape cinching at the waist for the outerwear portion.
A$AP Bari, Anna Wintour, Natalie Westling, Grace Coddington, Poggy of UNITED ARROWS & SONS, as well as adidas Originals VP of Global Design Nic Galway were among the handful of A-listers who attended the presentation. Of course, A$AP Rocky and Playboi Carti made an appearance as well. Peruse the backstage shots above and whatever you do, “Please don’t touch my Raf.”
