New Balance's Tokyo Design Studio Resurrects the ML2016
This time in clean tan and white colorways with gum soles.

Originally introduced in the latter part of 2015, New Balance’s 2016 was one of the brand’s sleekest, most underrated drops in recent memory. Designed by the brand’s Tokyo Design Studio, the silhouette was the perfect contemporary nod to the 1500, 1400, 998, 996, and 580 that had come before it. And though 2016 may be behind us, the shoe, thankfully, hasn’t been forgotten as NB has resurrected the design in two new colorways. Echoing the construction of the original black colorway, these eschew the suede that marked the black and grey ML2016CB and instead sport premium leather in smooth, tumbled, and perforated varieties. Dressed in tan and white, the two pairs come complete with white ABZORB-cushioned midsoles and gum rubber outsoles.
Both versions can be found now at New Balance stockists like Hanon for £119 GBP (approximately $149 USD) per pair.
