The Google Maps App Now Lets You Create & Share Lists of Your Favorite Spots
Because sharing is caring.
Google knows that your bucket list is probably committed to memory “or scribbled on a dozen post-it notes scattered around your home,” so now it’s made it easier than ever to create lists and share them with friends and family with its latest addition to Google Maps. Now, tapping on a place within the app not only brings up the “Save” option, but now includes pre-sets like “Want to Go” and “Favorites” and even offers the ability to create your own custom lists so you can plan out your next getaway or keep track of your favorite restaurants. Not only do icons for those saves then appear on the map itself, but the lists can then be shared via text, email, or social media so you can, for example, easily offer up recommendations to visiting out-of-towners. And best of all? The lists you create and follow are available offline so that you can access them whenever you may need them.
The added lists functionality is now available in the latest update to the Google Maps app for both iOS and Android.
