Teaming up with street fashion legend Alyasha Owerka-Moore, HEX has created a duo of travel bags built around Moore’s love of vintage travel gear. The backpack and duffel were inspired by Moore’s love of train travel. “I have always been a fan of train travel. Whether taking the train up and down the east coast to skate competitions when I was younger, or around southern California now, it’s something that’s always been a part of who I am. I have an affinity for vintage train cases from the 20’s and 30’s and felt like it would be rad to work with HEX to create a modern take on this kind of vintage travel gear,” says Moore.
Both bags in the selection are designed with modern materials for a vintage look — featuring a water resistant tan/brown tweed exterior with brown coated canvas accents and brown heritage logo lining. Accessibility and durability are stressed with leather zipper pulls, antique brass hardware, hide-away/detachable straps, multiple pockets and padded storage for laptops. Dan Maravilla, co-founder of HEX said, “It’s always great when we get to work with pioneers and innovators, like Alysha, his eye for detail and personal style are amazing and we think these products really showcase these things well.”
You can pick up the backpack and duffle on HEX’s website now for $129.95 USD and $179.95 USD respectively.
