The Hundreds Pays Homage to Alyasha Owerka-Moore in Latest Collection
With a lookbook modelled by Aly himself.
The Hundreds has partnered up with modern streetwear pioneer Alyasha Owerka-Moore. Having played a defining role in labels Phat Farm, Alphanumeric and Fiberops, the man referred to as “Aly” has led a career of industry-defining creative direction and design. Accrediting Aly as an early mentor who influenced the brand to implement cut & sew items, The Hundreds presents its homage. The collection entails T-shirts, a headwear piece, and cut and sew items like the “Coronado,” a vintage-inspired wool plaid long-sleeve woven with internal dual flap pockets, and bias cut side panels. The 100% cotton twill “Village” jacket is a standout piece inspired by garage workwear jackets, featuring a corduroy collar, wool plaid lining, a pen pocket, cat eye button, and bungee cord locks for bottom hem adjustment. Pieces feature a custom woven label with a ’50s youth-inspired switchblade and slingshot motif, alluding to Aly’s long history with The Hundreds.
The “Alyasha” collection will be available at The Hundreds shop locations as well as the brand’s online shop on October 27, 2016.
