Madlib's Alter-Ego Quasimoto Announces New Album & Tour With Eric B & Rakim
The legendary Long Island duo’s first release since 1992’s ‘Don’t Sweat the Technique.’

[gallery columns="3"]Legendary hip-hop duo Eric B and Rakim announced their official comeback over the weekend. This means that they are going to release music for the first time together since 1992’s Don’t Sweat the Technique. Quasimoto, a musical project carried out by Madlib, took to Instagram to announce that he was going to be the third member of the project. The cryptic message reads: “The reformation of Eric B, Rakim and Quas. New album and tour in 2017.” Attached with the announcement is artwork for Eric B and Rakim’s 1988 classic album Follow The Leader that Quasi illustrated himself.
For those who aren’t too familiar with Madlib and his work, the Oxnard-born producer produced Freddie Gibbs’ 2014 album Pinata and contributed to Kanye West on The Life of Pablo. Check out our extensive feature on the veteran beatsmith.
