MUNSOO KWON Shows Love for San Francisco in Its 2017 Spring/Summer Lookbook
Hippie counter culture references aplenty.
Last October, MUNSOO KWON showcased its 2017 spring/summer collection that pays tribute to the city of San Francisco. More specifically, it was inspired by the Korean menswear designer’s personal memories from the Californian metropolis alongside hippie counter culture references that are apparent throughout the range. A white jacket emblazoned with the text “Peace is Cheaper” and a tee adorned with a graphic relaying “Make Love Not War” are perhaps the more obvious ones, but sprinkled throughout the assemblage are colorful patterns such as leopard print and polka dots that imbue a sense of nostalgia dating back to the ’70s.
