Way back in the summer of 2016, Garbstore showcased its Spring/Summer 2017 collection with a lookbook ahead of the season. Now, with the new year upon us, the British imprint is offering up a closer look at its “In the Absence of Conflict” collection. Taking “on the task of pulling influences from iconic military styles from the Vietnam War while translating the essence into one with more peaceful tones,” the range sports graphics and imagery throughout, but ditches the military agenda of the era in favor of “messages of acceptance through softer designs and caring considerations.” The results include the likes of a military tour jacket emblazoned with bespoke embroidery depicting the U.K.’s Lake District and a corresponding tee in a “paint by numbers” template, as well as hand-dyed yarns, eco-friendly washes and Japanese fabrics.

Shop Garbstore’s new arrivals online now and be sure to check out the brand’s Fall/Winter 2017 “Sunday Dispatch” drop ahead of its release later this year.
