Tom Brady Trolls Roger Goodell and Flaunts His Five Super Bowl Rings in New Commercial
A ballsy move for anyone but Brady.
Even though Tom Brady surprised us all in winning his fifth Super Bowl in historical fashion last night, he had a feeling this day would come months ago. Back in September, when he was serving a suspension for his role in the Deflategate scandal, the Patriots quarterback filmed a TV spot for New England-based Shields Healthcare Group which began airing around the region in October. However a new, alternate version released last night, one in which Tom flaunts his five championship rings. In the original, Brady hands his four rings to a Shields employee, who asks, “Is that all?” to which he replies, “For now.” In last night’s version, Brady switches it up to say, “Actually, no, I forgot this one. It’s kind of new,” and he hands over a fifth ring. After the employee says “We need to get you a bigger locker,” Tom throws a not-so-subtle jab at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell by saying “Roger that” with a big smile. A ballsy move for anyone but Brady.
