Before he earned the suitable moniker “The Beard,” Houston Rockets star James Harden sported a cleaner cut during his time at Arizona State University. Pulling in 19 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.7 assist per game during his two-year stint at ASU, Harden credits the university for helping him mature before becoming the third overall pick in the NBA’s 2009 draft. As an homage to his old stomping grounds adidas, will soon be launching a special edition of Harden’s debut signature silhouette, the Harden Vol. 1. Dubbed “Fear the Fork,” the colorway is dominated by a black knit upper which is complemented by gold detailing throughout as an homage to the color seen in ASU’s uniforms. You’ll find gold along its toecap in addition to its laces and Three Stripes branding on its heel.

The adidas Harden Vol. 1 “Fear the Fork” is scheduled to drop on March 4 for $140 USD at select adidas Basketball retailers as well as adidas.com.
