Kim Kardashian Faces Criticism for Copying COMME des GARÇONS and Vetements
Designs for Kardashian’s The Kids Supply are apparently an “homage.”

Kim Kardashian isn’t just a fan of her husband’s designs — the A-lister has been spotted in a bevy of on-trend garments, including a Vetements dress that she also had custom made for daughter North. Her open-minded tastes have landed her in hot water, however, as two designs made for Kardashian’s The Kids Supply have been identified as knockoffs.
Instagram knockoff sleuth Diet Prada pointed out the uncanny similarity between items from The Kids Supply and two other fashion brands; the aforementioned child-sized Vetements dress has been reproduced almost identically, as has an ultra-rare COMME des GARÇONS x Kosho & Co. souvenir jacket. Despite the identical designs, a representative of The Kids Supply insists that the items dubbed the “Rei Jacket” and “Demna dress” are homages to the original designs, not knockoffs.
Regardless of intention, the project does have noble aims — The Kids Supply reports that both items’ proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. What do you think? Is this a ripoff or a mere nod? Take a look at the comparisons below and let us know your thoughts in the comments. Meanwhile, new music from Kanye may be on the horizon.
