Tapping into a myriad of 2017’s most prominent social issues, Jordan Peele’s Get Out was a runaway success on release. Now the director has taken to video to discuss the swathe of fan theories around the psychological horror film.

The clip, created by Vanity Fair, takes a deep dive into some theories you may have heard — such as whether the mixing of the cereal and milk by Rose was deliberate – to those a little more out-there, such as whether the entire film was an elaborate paranoid dream of TSA agent Rod. There’s also some filmic Easter eggs pointed out for cinema aficionados, including a subtle nod to Stanley Kubrick.

As well as grabbing the imagination of answer-hungry fans, Get Out was also a big part of the reason why horror films recorded its highest grossing year ever at the box office.
