There’s another viral challenge making its rounds across the web, the “One Chip Challenge.” Originating as a marketing campaign from Paqui Chips, the “One Chip Challenge” urges those who are up for it to eat a Reaper chip — made with the hottest pepper in the world, the Carolina Reaper pepper — and see if they can “survive” it while recording the task.

One said person that was up for the challenge was NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal. Making a bet with Charles Barkley during Inside the NBA on TNT, Shaq told Barkley, “Chuck, I’ll bet you $20 USD I bite a chip, won’t even make a face.” Though at first it seemed the big man could pull it off, Shaq started coughing while everyone in the room started to laugh. However there was some dispute about whether or not a cough counted as making a face, but Shaq clearly declared himself the winner.

O’Neal also offered to donate $50,000 USD to Barkley’s charity of choice if he too took on the challenge; Barkley unfortunately declined. For those willing to take on the challenge, post your conquest on Instagram or Twitter for a chance to win a prize.
