The newly-constructed Apple Park Visitor Center has finally opened its doors to the public. Those visiting the sizable establishment will be able to experience a slew of Apple Park’s architectural and technological innovations. For instance, visitors can get a first-hand look at its solar energy installations that are considered to be the largest in the world. Not to mention, “Visitors can also choose to lift the entire roof off the building to peek inside to the collaborative office pod layout,” Apple stated.
Designed by Foster + Partners, the visitor center boasts similar design cues to the main campus such as sprawling staircases, stone walls and terrazzo floors. Moreover, it features a carbon fiber roof that appears to be levitating. Conclusively, a rooftop terrace, a cafe surrounded by olive trees, and a shop filled with Apple’s latest innovative products and exclusive merchandise are available to purchase at the visitor center.
