New Apple Patent Reveals Folding iPhone Display
iPhone flip?

After we heard rumors that three more iPhone X models might be coming, as well as news of a potential iPhone SE relaunch, we’re now getting word of a possible Apple flip phone device in the works.
Recently, the US Patent and Trademark office published an Apple patent for a foldable phone display that harkens back to the retro cellular phone design concept, except with a futuristic book-like folding display made with cutting-edge technology.
“An electronic device may have a flexible portion that allows the device to be folded. The device may have a flexible display. The flexible display may have a bending region that allows the display to bend along a bend axis when the device is folded,” the patent notes.
The Apple patent application also references modern tech features such as LCD, OLED and microLED, as well as touch sensors. Sources are stating that if product development runs smoothly, a foldable iPhone design may become a reality by 2021.
