VILLA Honors the Art of Collaboration With New Balance 247 "The Collective"

Sneaker curator VILLA and New Balance come together to release a premium New Balance 247 model entitled “The Collective,” with the help of artist Ron English. The sleek sneaker gets reworked in pastel-colored suede and leather.

Inspired by artistic collaboration, VILLA draws influence from the idea of a group of artists working together to create a single piece of artwork. This motivation is made clear through the sneaker’s blend of pastel tones on the upper and speckled rubber sole. Furthering the motif, the removable insoles take cues from color swatches.

Lastly, it only makes sense for an artist to oversee the release of an art-inspired sneaker as Ron English is serving as the drop’s creative ambassador and will create an artistic in-store theme to complement the shoe.

VILLA’s stores and webstore will host the drop on October 21. New Balance has announced a wide assortment of upcoming sneaker releases recently, with two collaborations on the horizon: one with Guapske and the other with New Era.
