A Closer Look at AMBUSH x UNDERCOVER's Jewelry for Spring/Summer 2018
Featuring dead roses and crushed pearls.

Jun Takashi‘s UNDERCOVER unveiled its Spring/Summer 2018 women’s collection with a show that saw models walk the runway in pairs. That aspect of the show — like much of the collection — was a reference to Stanley Kubrick‘s 1980 film The Shining. Another notable element, however, was the presence of jewelry designed by AMBUSH – the recent LVMH Prize finalist.
Key motifs include roses — both live and dead — and oversized pearls in both pristine and crushed condition. These pieces were partly an attempt by AMBUSH designer Yoon Ahn to subvert typical feminine imagery as well as developing an opposing theme to the symmetry of the show.
There’s no news yet on when the AMBUSH collection — or the rest of the corresponding UNDERCOVER range – are set to release. While you wait for more news, take a look at UNDERCOVER’s collaborative shirts with Taro Mizutani.
