Stereo Vinyls Unveils Space Age Collection
Featuring a Converse collaboration.
Korean streetwear label Stereo Vinyls has worked with the International Space Archives on a new collection inspired by the Voyager 1 and 2 space probes launched by NASA in the 1970s. The Fall/Winter 2017 collection — titled “Is Anybody Out There?” — is full of references to space travel, with NASA mission patches and archive graphics used throughout.
Key pieces in the collection include “Voyager” track pants, bomber jackets bearing images of the solar system and knitwear that features the same space travel-themed patches. Also included in the collection is a Converse collaboration, with Stereo Vinyls giving its take on the Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70. The sneaker features an image of a planet – on the reverse of the usual Converse branding — as well as a “Stereo Vinyls” tag hanging from the tongue.
The collection is slated to drop on October 20 and will be available from the Stereo Vinyls web store. Stereo Vinyls isn’t the only brand that Converse has been working with, however, as the footwear label recently announced an exclusive London pop-up for its J.W.Anderson collaboration.
