Cristiano Ronaldo has offered a humble yet lavish take on Nike’s celebrated Air Max 97 silhouette. The collaborative low-top runner is draped in “Metallic Gold” and features a patchwork upper that culls inspiration from the soccer star’s childhood experiences. Conclusively, the sneaker features a white midsole and black outsole for a balanced look.
“As a young boy, Cristiano Ronaldo was limited to just two pairs of shoes – one for play, and one for school. While his school shoes were well kept, his play shoes always ended up with holes due to the endless amount of time he spent playing football. Each time he’d get a new hole in his shoes, his mother would patch them up,” said Nike in a statement.
