Dior Homme's Hardior Sunglasses Look to New Wave for Inspiration
Kris Van Assche keeps it new (order).
The latest release from the Kris Van Assche-led Dior Homme sees the brand deliver a fresh set of eyewear for the new season. Titled Hardior, the inspiration for the sunglasses comes from the New Wave movement of the 1980s — something highlighted in the release’s new campaign video, directed by London-based Dexter Navy.
The shades themselves use a metal frame with cut-out temples and a mirror-effect lens that comes in three different colorways: silver, orange, and green. The Dior Homme Hardior sunglasses cost £345 (approximately $458 USD) and are available now directly from Dior’s web store.
The sunglasses first made an appearance as part of Dior Homme’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection, which also used several paintings from Dan Witz throughout the range.
