The BILLY Fall/Winter 2017 Collection Is Effortless Cool
The LA label already made fans of Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian.
LA imprint BILLY has existed for two years as program for private clients, but Fall/Winter 2017 sees the label going public with a capsule collection. Celebrities like Justin Bieber and Ty Dolla $ign are already on board with the brand’s vision of laid-back casual clothing.
Made by hand in Los Angeles, designer Holly Jovenall sources inspiration for BILLY from her father and archive of vintage clothing. Relaxed cuts emphasize her line’s genderless styling — BILLY’s garments are cut for men but meant to be worn comfortably by any gender. The capsule is focused on reworked basics, like oversized hoodies, distressed boxy T-shirts, and tailored coats balanced by slouchy pants. Further underlining the brand’s versatility, the clothes are all black and white, except for muted earth tone T-shirts.
