California’s Yuketen readies a substantial release of hardy leather footwear for winter. Designer Yuki Matsuda updates several silhouettes and debuts a few new styles.

Spanning over 40 unique shoes, Yuketen’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection ranges from cowboy boots to crepe sole moccasins, all executed in rugged grain leathers and suedes. Sporting leather laces, the Maine Guide boots reappear dressed up in black and a selection of earth tones. Other familiar shoes, like the Blucher with Kiltie, have returned in familiar colors, but feature winter-ready soles. New models include a ring moc, an ikat-patterned boot, and a breadth of chunky-soled loafers — including several boasting uppers decorated with fur or pony hair.

A balance of the conservative and adventurous, expect the collection to drop on Yuketen’s web store soon.
