The Balenciaga Triple S Trainer is undoubtedly the most polarizing shoe that has released this year. It’s wrapped in layers of nubuck/mesh textiles alongside its eye-grabbing, humongous sole unit. Recently, the French fashion house released the chunky sneaker to the masses on September 21 at international retailers. We took to the streets of New York City and asked passersby what they think of Demna Gvasalia’s monstrous creation.

“I think they’re ugly and impractical. There’s nothing redeeming about these,” seasoned filmmaker Casey Neistat quipped. “Whoever designed these were just like: How much can we f*ck with sneakerheads and make the worst shoe ever made that they still would probably buy?” As expected, one person is astounded by the expensive price tag, having vehemently yelled, “$800 USD?!? I’ll give you 800 reasons why I wouldn’t buy this shit.”

Check out the clip above and let us know your thoughts. Would you or did you cop the Balenciaga Triple S Trainer?
