Apple Reveals All of the New Emoji Coming to iOS 11.1
56 new ways to express yourself.
The iOS 11.1 update is approaching and Apple has presented all the new emojis coming along with it. Unicode 10 is set to add 56 new emoji with Apple showing off over 30 ahead of time. Android Oreo already has the equivalent characters, and despite the majority of Android users not yet running that version of the software, developers are able to build support for the new emoji for older Android models.
Although there’s no announcement when iOS 11.1 will arrive, the new emojis will be available in the beta version of the update next week. The newest animal characters include a hedgehog, giraffe, and zebra just to name a few alongside some seasonal emoji for the fall.
