Timberland Pays Tribute to the Classic Yellow Boot With a Special 8" Made in the U.S. Release
“Timbs for my hooligans in Brooklyn.”
It’s hard to believe that the “Yellow Boot,” a wardrobe staple which transcends fashion, hip-hop, streetwear, and underground culture has been around for 40 years now and has seen almost no changes since its original design. Designed by American legend Nathan Swartz, the classic Timberland was the first waterproof leather work boot in its day to hit shelves and see huge success. Eventually, the silhouette garnered a loyal following in hip-hop amongst artists like Biggie and Mob Deep which opened the gateway for the boot to enter new subcultures. In honor of its strong heritage, Timberland is releasing a special 8” all-American-made version, sourcing whole grain leather from Chicago Tannery, Horween and waterproof touches from Vibram. You can read more about the boot here, and catch the limited edition only in select stores for €350 or approximately $392 USD.
