Artists DOES and Case Maclaim Unleash 1,000 Litres of Paint on Frankfurt Metro
Ostendstrasse station gets a vibrant makeover for fall.
This summer, Dutch graffiti artist DOES teamed up with Frankfurt-based contemporary Case Maclaim for a 40-day subterranean project that saw the duo reimagine the Ostendstrasse metro station in Frankfurt to vivid effect. With the tunnel needing an intensive clean and new design, the pair first utilized a 1.5 ton dry-ice compressor to remove the grime before applying an expansive art piece that features a green base color. The result? An awe-inspiring work the spans every inch and corner, making missing any train a bit less frustrating.
