With the goal to bring together industry insiders and consumers, the American label will be opening a fashion carnival complete with rides, games and food — expect hot dogs, pretzels, ice cream and hamburgers. As for the rides, visitors can even take a spin on a 40-foot Ferris wheel. But perhaps the most important part of the event, which is to take place on September 9 (open to the public the next day), is the fashion show. Gigi Hadid has become the muse of the brand, and with the Tommy x Gigi range, fashion fans will be curious about the new designs. What better way to celebrate the reveal than with some fun and games.
Furthermore, the event will follow the current trend of the “see-now-buy-now” fashion show format. Once the showcase begins, anyone will be able to purchase items from the presentation through the house’s official website. The “Tommy Pier” will be located at Pier 16 in New York City’s South Street Seaport.
