sacai & Hender Scheme Rework Their Collaborative Boots for 2016 Fall/Winter
Chitose Abe and Ryo Kashiwazaki present their latest footwear collab.

Fresh off the opening of his label’s brand new Tokyo flagship in Shibuya, Ryo Kashiwazaki has once again joined forces with Chitose Abe, following up their collaborative summer sandals with a new sacai x Hender Scheme boot for Fall/Winter 2016. A rugged military-inspired high-top that stands in stark contrast to the more heritage-leaning aesthetic of the two’s Red Wing-like boots from January, this season’s design combines naturally-dyed black cow hide and matching pig suede with the likes of a padded collar, waxed cotton laces, antique nickel hardware and even a stacked leather welt. As far as cushioning goes, replaceable foam handles the midsole while the otherwise leather outsole dons rubber applications in high-wear areas for added durability.
The badass all-black boots — which, in typical Hender Scheme fashion, are meticulously handcrafted in Japan — can be picked up now from spots like HAVEN for $1,395 USD per pair.
