SOREL and Aries Take the Iconic Caribou™ DNA Into Cozy Territory
Layering pony hair and shearling to create the new Daystorm™ Chukka Boot.
For their second collaboration, SOREL and Aries introduce a tough yet tactile silhouette, called the Daystorm™ Chukka Boot.
In tune with the season, the new model boldly draws on the Caribou™’s durable design, which has stood out for its reliability in the winter outdoors scene. The sole features a similar chunky style, built with an outsole made from moulded XS TREK EVO Vibram™ compound and a moulded rubber midsole, while the vamp comes wrapped in soft, full-grain leather.
Echoing the textural details of Aries’ Fall/Winter 2026 collection, the Daystorm™ Chukka Boot adopts swathes of sumptuous materials. Above the hard-wearing leather edges, the upper ties in a patch of pony hair, as the inner lining incorporates shearling for a cozy feel. These elements are tinted in tones of black, brown, and cream to match the two colorways and give them a plush look that fits layered winter looks.
A new campaign featuring D Double E amplifies this distinctive aesthetic. Posed against a digital landscape with frosty blue tones, photographer and multimedia artist Joe Cruz captures the rapper in the Daystorm™ Chukka Boot paired with fur-trimmed coats, tonal shirts, and heavy knits.
