Watch as 'Pokémon GO' Players in Taiwan Cause a Stampede to Catch a Snorlax
Is this real life?
If you thought the Pokémon GO craze had already died down you better think again. A surreal new video posted on Facebook over the weekend shows thousands of players in Taiwan’s capital stampeding through an intersection to catch a Snorlax. According to TIME, Taipei’s Xinbeitou area has become a regular hotspot for the city’s players looking to catch rare Pokémon, causing civil-defense brigades and police reinforcements from neighboring areas being called into action. The game previously caused disturbances in many other parts of Asia, namely Bangkok where numerous traffic accidents have been attributed to negligent motorists and pedestrians playing the game on major roads. Check out some of the terrifying footage above.
