A 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' Teaser Trailer Hits Japan
Milla Jovovich’s Alice is back in the sixth and final ‘Resident Evil’ film.
Given Resident Evil‘s Japanese Biohazard roots, it makes sense that the sixth and final film adaptation of the infinitely popular survival-horror video game series would debut on the East Asian isles. Thus, the Land of the Rising Sun is home to the first teaser trailer for the aptly named Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
Hot on the heels of a brief sneak peek of the upcoming Resident Evil flick, the new trailer does well to set the stage for the Paul W. S. Anderson-led production. Picking up immediately following Resident Evil: Retribution, The Final Chapter once again stars Milla Jovovich as Alice — the lone survivor of humanity’s last stand against the undead following her betrayal by Wesker. Fittingly, the film will see a return to where it all began as Alice heads back to Raccoon City to face off against the Umbrella Corporation’s gathering forces of mutant undead.
Once again co-starring Ali Larter as Claire Redfield and Shawn Roberts as Albert Wesker, The Final Chapter will hit Japanese theaters on December 23 before making its way to the United States on January 27, 2017.
