Nike's "Linen" Look Comes to a Luxurious Version of the LeBron 13
The Swoosh’s best version of the LeBron 13 to date drops next month.
Nike may have turned its attention to the Soldier 10 following King James‘ first NBA title in Cleveland, but don’t think the Swoosh is kicking the LeBron 13 to the curb. Even with the 2016-17 NBA season right around the corner, Nike isn’t yet moving on to the next iteration of LeBron signature kicks — instead, it’s revisiting the LeBron 13 Elite, dropping perhaps the shoe’s best iteration to date in the process.
Appearing in luxurious off-court EXT form, James’ latest 13 comes decked out in the old “Linen” colorway that made for one of the greatest Air Force 1s of all-time when it dropped back in 2001 (though it was finally made available again via NIKEiD back in 2013, the AF1 “Linen” will, thankfully, see a return to shelves later this year). Unlike those Forces, however, these ditch the pink accents entirely, opting instead to apply the “Linen” hue to the entirety of the leather upper, laces and Dynamic Flywire while capping things off with a massive canvas-backed carbon fiber shank, stark white midsole and milky rubber outsole.
If you miss out on these come September 9, but still need your “Linen” fix, fear not: Nike has applied the classic colorway to the Air Footscape Woven, too.
