UNITED ARROWS & SONS Puts Its Spin on the Converse Pro Leather
Smooth pink suede decorates the 40-year-old high-top.
Japanese stalwart UNITED ARROWS & SONS is no stranger to Converse. Just last year the two came together for a pack of special edition Chucks under the BEAUTY & YOUTH imprint while 2014 saw Converse help B&Y celebrate its 25th anniversary with monochromatic high- and low-tops. And, as this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Pro Leather, the two are back at it, this time to release a special edition of the iconic four decades-old high-top.
Here, the kicks are highlighted by a clean pink suede upper and one that extends the hue to the cotton laces and branding for a monochromatic look. Inside, premium brown leather lines the model while co-branded gold foil stamps hit the insoles. Finally, a white rubber sole unit provides the finishing touch.
The UNITED ARROWS & SONS x Converse Pro Leather drops in stores and online this Friday, July 22 for ¥19,440 JPY (approximately $183 USD). And, in the meantime, be sure to check out the goofy video of Poggy rocking the kicks below.
