Kanye West's "Famous" Music Video Gets a SFW Parody Starring Justin Bieber, Nick Jonas and More
A swath of pop-stars swap appropriate pillow talk.
Kanye West’s recent music video for “Famous” was inspired by mid-’00s sex-tapes as much as it was the art of Vincent Desiderio; the result is a compelling, albeit challenging and disturbing look at fame and infamy in the modern age. It’s also decidedly NSFW.
BBC Radio 1 sought to recreate the visuals while making them palatable and appropriate for the workplace. The result is a parody that features an ensemble cast of pop stars, ranging from Justin Bieber to Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor to Carly Rae Jepsen, Craig David to Troye Sivan, all cracking wise at each other’s expense and public personae. Watch as Bieber struggles to give Cheryl Cole compliments for a minute straight, and find out how the indistinguishable and interchangeable TV personalities Ant & Dec wake up in the morning in the outlandish parody above.
