New Balance and J.Crew Celebrate Mankind's Giant Leap With a "Moonshot" 997
Inspired by the Apollo 11 mission.

New Balance has teamed up with frequent collaborators J.Crew for a lunar-inspired take on the 997 silhouette that celebrates the historic Apollo 11 mission, which put man on the moon for the first time back in 1969. The collaborative runner features off-white suede, resembling the surface of the Moon, while hits of dark leather and blue mesh approximate the vacuum of outer space. The white midsole features contrasting hits of rich navy. Rounding things out, the kicks also come with vacuum packaging and “far out treats” while supplies last in stores.
The shoes will drop on July 20, the anniversary of the moon landing, at select J.Crew locations exclusively for $210 USD.
