The Theories of Atlantis Skate Crew Heads West for 'Escape to LA'
A pilgrimage to skateboarding’s Holy Land.
Theories of Atlantis — the New York-based skate brand and distribution company – just premiered a new, West Coast-centric skate video, Escape to LA, courtesy of Jenkem Mag. The TOA crew features a bevy of skaters from around the world, none of whom happen to reside on the West Coast full time — a shocking factoid, considering skateboarding’s classically Californian roots. The 10-minute video marks a return to the sport’s Holy Land, a homage to the retro LA aesthetic, complete with a Pulp Fiction-inspired intro sequence and hard-hitting parts from team riders Leo Valls, Brendan Carroll, Danny Montoya and others.
