adidas’s NMD model has been the next silhouette from the Three Stripes to carry the torch since the highly popular Ultra Boost. Selling out upon every release and spontaneous restock, it was only a matter of time before others would attempt to generate the same success that adidas has been riding. Next in line is Soulja Boy, the young rapper who came on the scene dominating the internet like no other artist at that time with his hit single “Crank Dat.” The 25-year-old talent has always kept his ear to the business side of the music industry, and his line of footwear — dubbed SBeezy Lights — is his attempt to participate in the footwear industry.

As the idea of shoes with light up soles has gained a small cult following to those who dare, Soulja Boy has taken things a step further by placing a twist to adidas’s NMD model’s silhouette. While not exactly like the highly coveted lifestyle sneaker, Soulja Boy’s latest SBeezy Lights installment is sure to make you think of the Boost-infused model from the German footwear giant.

Update: Soulja Boy has removed the image from his Instagram, however you can see a copy below.
