Nike's Original Olympics-Inspired Presto Returns Next Month
The Y2K drop is back for Rio.
Back in 2000, Nike celebrated the Sydney Olympics with a special rendition of the then brand new Air Presto and now, 16 years later, the Swoosh is resurrecting the look as a part of its collection for this summer’s games in Rio. Initially glimpsed back in December, the design mimics the look of the Y2K original and adopts the “GPX” designation thanks to its unique graphic upper and winged “USA” tongue embroidery.
Expect the patriotic retro to hit NSW spots like The Chimp Store alongside a bevy of other red, white and blue kicks — including the “Gold Medal” edition of the Air Presto Ultra Flyknit — come July 7 for $130 USD.
