Nike Finally Brings Back the Air Max BW's OG "Marina Blue" Colorway
Long overshadowed by the “Persian Violet” make-up, the “Marina Blue” BW makes a comeback.
Originally released way back in 1991, the Nike Air Max BW’s OG “Persian Violet” look has been resurrected by the Swoosh on a number of occasions over the past 25 years — including this year. Nike hasn’t done the same, however, for the shoe’s slick “Marina Blue” make-up — until now. Getting the retro treatment for the very first time, 2016’s take on the shoe stays true to OG form, even coupling the runner’s original construction with the old Marina Blue/Green Jade-White color combo.
