Could Max B Have Been Bigger Than Drake?
One industry veteran thinks so.
Years after being ordered to serve several decades in prison, Max B‘s impact has already extended to the upper echelon of hip-hop. In a new interview with Rap Radar, former Wave God affiliate Jim Jones is taking it one step further. Speaking to the outlet for a brief video interview, the Dipset rapper says that he believes Max B would be on a higher level of success than Drake right now if he was a free man. After remarking that Max B had the chance to be as big as Drake right now, Jones explained that the current wave of “singing” and “very melodic” music that’s popular right now comes from Max B’s discography. “Wiz Khalifa’ll tell you right now that he studied his music word for word,” he said.
