Thom Browne and Marc Jacobs Win Big at the 2016 CFDA Awards
And Beyoncé was honored with the Fashion Icon Award.

The CFDA Awards honor the best in American fashion, and the winners for 2016 were crowned yesterday. Hosted at the Hammerstein Ballroom for the first time, this year’s awards included a dinner beforehand versus the award-show style of previous years. For menswear, the big winners were Thom Browne, who took home Menswear Designer of the Year, and Orley’s Matthew, Alex and Samantha Orley, who took home the Swarovski Award for Menswear. Nominations for each category are submitted by the CFDA Fashion Awards Guild, comprised of fashion retailers, journalists, stylists and influencers. Check out the full list of winners below.

Accessories Designer of the Year: Mansur Gavriel
Fashion Icon Award: Beyoncé
The Swarovski Award for Womenswear: Brandon Maxwell
The Swarovski Award for Menswear: Orley
The Swarovski Award for Accessories: Paul Andrew
As for the honorary awards, Gucci’s Alessandro Michele was given the International Award, and Donna Karan the Founder’s Award. The CFDA also paid tribute to the late David Bowie with the Board of Directors’ Tribute.
