MVRDV's Transparent "Infinity Kitchen" Highlights Cooking's Expressional Artform
Clear cooking brings creativity to the kitchen.
Dutch-based studio MVRDV has elevated cooking to the next level thanks to its transparent kitchen. The space is dominated by glass and aims to help those in the kitchen pay more attention to detail such as eating habits, dieting, the overall cooking process and items that are thrown away. Playing a part in the satellite event for the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale, the exhibition showcases clear shelves, surfaces, cupboards, utensils, waste containers and allows the user additional control of their respective cooking space. Take a look at the video above as MVRDV director, Winy Maas, narrates a tour of the “Infinity Kitchen” which will be on display until September 30.
