G-Star Celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the 5620 G-Star Elwood
With monthly collaborations and limited releases.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the iconic 5620 G-Star Elwood. The make was the first to feature 3D denim, an approach inspired by motorcyclists and invented by G-Star RAW’s head designer, Pierre Morisset. After 20 years, there’s a reason why the model is still around. It’s a classic piece that’s adapted to the times while maintaining the key design elements that make it special – its knee patches, 3D shaping knee darts, saddle patch, heel guards and slanted thigh seams.
To celebrate the anniversary, G-Star RAW is releasing a limited-edition model in collaboration with designers and artists on the 20th of every month this year. Featured so far is a sustainable “Raw for the Oceans” edition, while future collaborations will be announced on an interactive microsite the brand has launched specially for the occasion.
