Barneys Opens Its First Men's Flagship Store in San Francisco
The luxury menswear store makes its mark on the West Coast.
Barneys New York has opened a standalone men’s store in San Francisco, adjacent to the high-end boutique’s main location on Stockton Street. The new retail space is comprised of 19,000 square feet, covered in luxe gray marble flooring throughout two levels adjoined by a futuristic spiral staircase. The lower level offers leather goods, accessories and sunglasses, while the upper level features ready-to-wear clothing, tailored apparel, home furnishings and shoes. Executive Vice President of Barneys Tom Kalenderian stated, “This will be an opportunity for Barneys New York to expand the presentation and assortment of men’s fashion accessories, footwear and apparel in San Francisco in order to enhance the customer experience.” The flagship men’s store is a first for Barneys, which makes sense for the department store to focus on menswear given the steadfast rise in sales.
