The Hundreds 2016 Spring Lookbook
Inspired by American soldiers returning from Vietnam.

For the spring, The Hundreds pay homage to American heroes that fought during the Vietnam War. Specifically, they were inspired by the idea of American soldiers returning home in the late ’60s and early ’70s, whose military garb was reinterpreted as modern basics with influences from surplus wear. To expand on the idea of camaraderie, The Hundreds looked at communities that were born out of rebellion — such as motorcycle, surfing and skateboarding clubs. The original lookbook was presented as a zine shot and styled by artist Alexander Spit, who said “I wanted everything from the styling to the locations and attitudes of the models to look familiar, but exist in its own world of understanding reality. Camaraderie is an important part of culture, and rather than prioritize putting a focal point on one model in any given shot, I tried to showcase each personality through the composition of a group.” Shop The Hundreds over at HBX and select stockists now.
