The Late Charlotte Cummings' Epic Air Jordan Collection She's Been Collecting Since 1985 Now on Display
A true Air Jordan fan

Collectors are definitely something to be admired, especially if they have devoted well over a decade doing it. While sneakers are still considered a niche culture in the grand scheme of things, here at HYPEBEAST it’s regarded as, well, the first and foremost genre on the site. It then goes without saying that any formidable collection of Air Jordans is worth noting, and that of the late Charlotte Cummings’ is no exception. Since the mid ’80s, Cummings has amassed 536 pairs of sneakers, 430 of which will be displayed at Evelyn Burrow Museum in Alabama, which is touted to be the most complete collection of sneakers on exhibit in the Eastern United States. The exhibition includes an array of different models and brands, and other memorabilia, but most interestingly 12 complete sets of original Air Jordans, as well as complete collections of all colorways of the AJ 7s, 10s, 11s (except 1), 15s (except 1) and 29s. If you’re in the are of the Wallace State Community College, but sure to pop in before the exhibit ends on March 15.
