Vaporize’s 2016 Spring/Summer Collection Serves up Bluesman Looks

The Smashing Pumpkins co-founder channels vintage Americana.

James Iha may be best known as the former guitarist and co-founder of the alternative band Smashing Pumpkins, but the Japanese artist has also helmed his own fashion line—Vaporize (F.K.A. Vapor)—since 2001. The brand’s latest lookbook wears its influences on its sleeve; the ”Southern Rock” collection is inspired by American country and blues musicians of the ’60s and ’80s. Wide-collared shirts and loose-fitting formalwear are set alongside more laid-back sartorial mainstays—think varsity jackets and bombers, oversized sweats, denim hoodies and crusher hats. The end result is a testament to the timelessness of vintage Americana.

The collection is available for pre-order on Beams now.
